Always fill your Selection Slip in PENCIL. Using ink can damage the Ticket Terminal and it may not be able to read your Selection Slip.
When buying your lottery tickets, check before leaving the store to ensure you have all the tickets you paid for, and that they are correct.
It’s a good idea to print or legibly sign your name on the back of your tickets as soon as possible after purchase. This can be helpful if your tickets are lost, and Retailers cannot check or validate tickets until your name is on the back. Other than putting your name, address and daytime phone number in the Claim Form on the back, don’t write or mark anything else on the front or back of the tickets. If you win a prize that must be claimed from a Prize Office, any additional markings must be investigated and may delay payment.
2. Check it!
There are many ways you can check your ticket to see if it’s won a prize.
Use the self-serve Ticket Checkers at your Lottery Retailer.
Step 1: Wait for the message, “CHECK YOUR TICKETS HERE”.
Step 2: Insert the barcode found under the latex in play area under the red light.
Step 3: Move the barcode slowly through the light, until you hear a BEEP. Prize information will then appear on the screen.
Remember, only SCRATCH 'N WIN tickets with the self-check logo can be checked at the Ticket Checker.

3. Get it back!
All tickets checked at Retail are returned to you, as well as the Validation Slip. Paid tickets are torn in two; all other tickets are returned in one piece.
So, when you have your tickets checked by a lottery Retailer, they will first check to see if you’ve signed the back of the tickets. The clerk will then scan your ticket.
If it’s a winner , the terminal will say “Woo-hoo!” and the prize amount will be displayed on the monitor. The prize amount will also be listed on the Validation Slip that will be given to you. If you agree to the prize, the clerk will tear the ticket in two and give both pieces to you, along with the prize and the Validation Slip.
If your ticket is a non-winner, or is worth a prize the Retailer cannot pay, your ticket will be returned to you in once piece along with the Validation Slip.
For prize claim instructions or concerns, please call us at 1-800-665-3313 and ask for Communications. We’re available Monday to Friday from 7:30 am MT to 4:30 pm MT.
Best of luck!
