“We’re going to spoil the grandkids!”
David Johnson of Regina is celebrating a life-changing win after taking home a $1 million LOTTO 6/49 prize. He won on the July 15 LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball draw.
Johnson’s wife checked the ticket for him in store and was stunned when the cashier told her it was worth a million dollars. She messaged Johnson right away.
“We couldn’t believe it!” he said.
Johnson already has plans for how he will enjoy his windfall with the people closest to him.
“We’re going to spoil the grandkids!” he smiled.
The winning ticket was a gift, which Johnson said makes the prize even more meaningful.
“My son bought me the ticket, so I intend to share with my family,” he explained. “Maybe I can get a new truck for myself.”
Even after claiming his prize, Johnson said the experience still feels surreal.
“I never dreamed I would ever be here winning this much money,” Johnson beamed.
Johnson purchased his winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Co-op at 2925 Quance St. E in Regina. He won his $1 million prize in the July 15 LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball draw with selection 20726634-01, a white ball.
